Unstoppable When I Let Go

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”—Exodus 14:14 NIV

When I hear the word unstoppable, I usually think of progress. Forward motion. Checking boxes and getting things done. I think of effort, determination, and pushing through no matter how tired I feel. But God has been teaching me that unstoppable does not always look like constant movement. Sometimes it looks like letting go and trusting him to take the lead.

Trusting Beyond Understanding in Uncertain Times

There have been seasons where my life felt heavy with responsibility. Balancing family, faith, growth, and the unknown has stretched me in ways I did not expect. I wanted answers quickly. I wanted solutions I could control. I wanted progress I could measure. And yet, in those moments, God kept reminding me that some battles were never meant to be mine to fight. Scripture reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV). Letting go means trusting God beyond what makes sense to me. It means believing that his direction is steady, even when I feel unsure.

Letting go has been one of the hardest lessons for me. It means letting go of my need to understand everything right away. It means trusting God even when I cannot see how things will work out. Still, I am learning that God’s work does not pause just because I step back. “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6, NIV). His plans are still moving forward. His purpose is still unfolding. His power remains unstoppable.

Lessons in Faith: The Power of Surrender

What God has been teaching me through surrender

• Letting go is not weakness; it is faith

• Trusting God means believing he is working beyond what I can see

• Growth does not always happen loudly or quickly

• God’s timing is intentional, even when it feels uncomfortable

• I was never meant to carry every burden alone

God gently invites us to lay things down. “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7, NIV).

I am learning that surrender is not giving up; it is giving things over to the one who cares deeply about every detail of my life.

Embracing Faith: Trusting Beyond Understanding

I am still learning. I am learning how to trust God beyond my own understanding. I am learning how to release control without fear. Exodus 14:14 reminds me that faith is not about striving harder, but about believing that God is already ahead of me, fighting battles I cannot fight on my own. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty (Zechariah 4:6, NIV).

Unstoppable faith does not always rush forward. Sometimes it releases control. Sometimes it breathes. Sometimes it chooses trust over fear and believes that God is faithful to finish what he started.

Your Turn—Take a moment to pause and reflect honestly.

• What am I holding onto that God is asking me to release?

• Where do I need to trust God instead of trying to control the outcome?

• What fears make it hard for me to fully surrender?

• How can I practice trusting God in my everyday decisions?

Prayer—Heavenly Father, thank you for being a God who goes before me and fights for me. Thank you for reminding me through your words that I do not have to carry everything on my own. Teach me how to let go of control and trust you fully, even when the path ahead is unclear. Help me to rest in your promises and believe that you are always at work. Strengthen my faith when fear tries to take over and remind me that your plans cannot be stopped. I choose to trust you with my life, my future, and every battle I face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
