For they considered not the miracle of the loaves, for their heart was hardened.—Mark 6:52 (KJV)
Reflecting on the miracles of Jesus, we see that many times in the bible hearts can sometimes remain hardened despite witnessing divine power firsthand. From the woman healed by her faith to the raising of Jairus’s daughter, and even the feeding of over five thousand, each miracle was a testament to God’s power and compassion. Yet, even the disciples, after witnessing these events, forgot His works, and their hearts grew callous.
Remembering God's Miracles: A Call to Deepen Faith and Gratitude
How often do we forget God’s miracles in our lives? Surviving accidents, healing our loved ones, or experiencing sudden breakthroughs—these are undeniable acts of God. Let us not allow our hearts to become hardened by forgetfulness. Instead, cherish and remember God’s wondrous deeds, for they deepen our faith and keep us rooted in gratitude. Stay vigilant and never underestimate the power of our miraculous God.

Recognizing God's Ongoing Miracles Amidst Spiritual Hardening
Sometimes, after witnessing God’s wondrous works, we too can become inattentive or even hardened to His ongoing miracles in our lives. The Bible reminds us in Mark 6:52, “For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.” The disciples had seen Jesus perform incredible miracles—healing the sick, calming storms, and feeding thousands—and yet, moments later, they forgot those miracles and began to doubt.
Recognizing the Miracles in Our Lives
Think about the miracles you’ve witnessed in your life: surviving dangerous accidents, miraculous recoveries, unanswered prayers that were eventually answered, or moments of unexpected provision. These are God’s undeniable works, personally performed for us. They are beyond explanation and stretch beyond our understanding.

Remembering God's Ongoing Miracles Amid Life's Challenges
It’s easy to forget these blessings or take them for granted, especially when life’s challenges threaten to discourage us. But remember—our God is still working, still performing miracles, even now.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the countless miracles You’ve performed in my life. Help me, Lord, to remember Your works, to see Your hand in every blessing, and to keep my heart soft and receptive. Forgive me if I have become hardened or forgetful. Renew my spirit and help me to trust You more fully. May I never forget Your miracles, big or small, and always walk in faith and gratitude. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Your Turn: Can you recall a miracle God has done in your life? What are some steps you can take to consistently remind yourself of the amazing things God has done for you and others? How do you think staying grateful will affect you and those in your circle?
Andy,
Such a wonderful reminder to consider the miracles (big and small) that God has done for me.
Thank you!
