A Florida native, Lilka Finley Raphael has been a licensed pharmacist for over thirty years. Still, she has learned the most potent prescriptions are not in bottles. Prayer and persistence are far more effective than any medication dispensed. A love for writing prompted Lilka to share her experiences and life lessons on her blogs God, autism & me, B is for Blessed, and God and the Garden. Her latest endeavor—Planted with Purpose, Devotions for Every Season — explores God’s wisdom as revealed in nature. This devotional challenges us to relinquish our preferences to God’s greater purpose. Most recently, Lilka was again fortunate to contribute to the Christmas edition of Refresh Magazine. Additional achievements for 2023 include contributions to Christiandevotions.us and The Write Conversation. Lilka’s entry, Broken Things, was recognized in the 2023 Advance His Kingdom Devotional Contest. Lilka’s greatest achievements are her two adult sons, who have flown the nest. Happily married for thirty-one years, she lives east of Atlanta with her husband, Rod. They now share their home with two German Shepherds—Holly and Ivy—and one naughty kitty, Moxie.
